Florida State's future at wide receiver is beginning to come into focus.
On Friday at 5 p.m. ET, Rivals250 member Marquez Ezzard announced that he has committed to Florida State. Just a few weeks ago, the four-star receiver favored in-state school Georgia, but that changed following a June visit to Florida State.
The Stockbridge, Ga., native made it very clear that FSU was very much in the mix following that visit.
"They have not signed many receivers the last few years, so they are telling me they need me to come in and play early for them," Ezzard told Rivals' Chad Simmons back in June. "They showed me the board and my name was there at the top, so that made me feel special. I can tell they really need me there."
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound wide receiver was thought to be ready to publicly announce his commitment on July 8, but decided to postpone his decision. It only took two extra weeks before Ezzard finally made it official and announced his commitment to Florida State.
Ezzard becomes the 15th member of FSU's 2018 recruiting class, and third wide receiver joining Antoine Green and D'Marcus Adams.
He also is the Seminoles' fourth Georgia product in this class, to go along with four more who are already committed for the class of 2019.
