The quarterbacks will be at the center of attention when Florida State opens preseason football camp Tuesday afternoon, but that will not be the only big question facing the Seminoles.

There are at least five significant position battles to be contested on offense, defense and special teams, and several other players will be fighting for larger roles in 2016.

With that in mind, here’s a look at the top 10 questions facing the Seminoles as preseason camp begins:

Question No. 1: Will senior Sean Maguire hold onto the starting quarterback job he claimed late last season, or will talented redshirt freshman Deondre Francois wrestle it away?

Question No. 2: With Jalen Ramsey off to the NFL, who will grab the boundary cornerback position: Sophomore Tarvarus McFadden or sophomore Marcus Lewis?

Question No. 3: Can converted defensive end Rick Leonard claim the right tackle position after just a few months on offense, or will the Seminoles go with sophomores Brock Ruble or Derrick Kelly?

Question No. 4: Will there be a major dropoff at kicker and punter as the Seminoles look to replace All-American Roberto Aguayo and four-year starter Cason Beatty?

Question No. 5: Does January enrollee Ricky Aguayo have the placekicker job locked down, or will fellow freshman Logan Tyler give him a run for his money?

Question No. 6: Does Tyler have the punting job locked down, or will graduate transfer Jack Steed (Oklahoma) give him a run for his money?

Question No. 7: Will any of the younger, taller wide receivers – George Campbell, Auden Tate, Keith Gavin, etc. – earn substantial playing time?

Question No. 8: Can five-star freshman Levonta Taylor give the Seminoles a much-needed boost in the return game?

Question No. 9: If Ryan Green stays healthy, will he follow up on his strong spring at tailback and finally become a major contributor in his fourth season?

Question No. 10: Will the all-access Showtime series, “A Season With,” which is being filmed at FSU this season, become a distraction? Or will the ‘Noles be mature enough to handle it in stride?
