Florida State commitment and Rivals100 defensive back Stanford Samuels III is in Orlando for the week preparing for the Under Armour All-America Game on Sunday.

Samuels was able to provide Warchant a detailed look at his pre-game experience, potential FSU recruiting targets and his opening-day performance breakdown in a diary.

Day 1 (arrival)

Samuels arrived on Tuesday, and here's what he told Warchant's Michael Langston about his his first day:

I got here on Tuesday morning and we were one of the first people here. Cyrus [Fagan] was also here and we got our swagger gear. I also got a haircut too, and she did a pretty nice job too. So it looks good. Then after the cut, I went upstairs to get some rest, and then we went out to eat and just relaxed with the other players.

I also got a chance to relax in the Jacuzzi. It was just a chance for me to get my mind right and focus on what I'm going to do this week. Just get a mental picture of getting focused. Just got a nice mellow time for me. I think you always need that time to yourself. I then went to bed early, but I did text Cam [Akers] and welcomed him to the family. That's a huge one for us.

I felt like I got a big Christmas present that you know you have been waiting on for a long time and it finally came true. Cam can do so many different things. He plays quarterback for his team, but he's such an explosive weapon for us. He actually has one of the best arms for a quarterback. The guy has crazy numbers, and he's one of the best. He's going to add a lot of big plays in our offense. I think we have three of the best backs in the nation. Then with D.J. Matthews, he is one of the best receivers in the country. We are getting playmakers every year.
