Five-star basketball recruit Kevin Knox and his parents, Kevin and Michelle, flew back home to Tampa on Monday morning after a three-night stay in Tallahassee, and the family came away impressed with Florida State but not necessarily any closer to a decision.

Knox, who stars at Tampa Catholic and is rated the nation's No. 9 player overall, still is scheduled to visit Kentucky on Jan. 28 and North Carolina on Feb. 4. Their first official visit was to Duke in October, and they expect to announce a decision in March.

"It went really well," the older Kevin Knox said. "We enjoyed ourselves."

The younger Knox also called the visit "great" on Twitter.

The visit was a bit of a blast from the past for Knox's parents. Kevin was a star football player at FSU in the early 1990s and Michelle attended the university on an academic scholarship.

When asked how different this official visit was compared to his own visit before he signed in 1989, the older Knox laughed.

"When I visited, you're talking 20-something years ago," he said. "Cars were different. Everything was different. Everybody didn't even have cell phones, let alone smart phones. Even the buildings on campus and in Tallahassee are different. Certain landmarks are still there, but they've done a good job of modernizing Tallahassee."

One of the highlights on Saturday was attending the Seminoles' basketball game against Virginia Tech. After falling behind early, No. 12 FSU raced back and scored 93 points in a 15-point victory against the No. 21 team in the country.

The older Knox said FSU coach Leonard Hamilton and his staff had been telling them throughout the recruiting process that the 'Noles were starting to play a faster style of basketball, and that was clearly evident on Saturday.
