TAMPA -- While Florida State is not pursuing a large number of prospects in the Tampa area for the Class of 2019, the Seminoles certainly have at least one very important target on their minds in Plant High offensive tackle Will Putnam.
In this latest edition of our Spring Recruiting Tour, we make our way over to Plant to see the Rivals100 offensive tackle and get the latest on his recruitment.

Putnam: 'I trust Coach Frey a lot'
It has been just over a month since Putnam made his initial visit to Tallahassee with his parents, and he said the trip still resonates with him -- especially the connections he made with first-year head coach Willie Taggart and offensive line coach Greg Frey.
"Yes, it's certainly still on my mind," the four-star prospect told Warchant. "I was blown away by the people, my connection with Coach Taggart and really how comfortable I was with everything on the visit. It surprised me how much I loved it. Plus, I already had a strong bond with Coach Frey, and it only got stronger after this visit."
Putnam's relationship with Frey actually goes back to last year when the OL coach was recruiting him at Michigan.
"I trust Coach Frey a lot," Putnam said. "I also know him well and how he's going to take good care of me if I did choose Florida State. He has the type of work ethic as a coach I like, and we just have the same mindset about what is expected of me as a player."
As he gets into the heart of the recruiting process, Putnam said he plans to narrow his list to five schools later this summer. And there's a very good chance the Seminoles will be on that list.
First, he has to finalize some travel plans.
"I believe I will be back [to FSU] in the summer," Putnam said. "Hopefully around camp time because I would love to work with Coach Frey to see how things are with him coaching me up and get a feel for what the offense would be like there at FSU."
