After a few back-and-forth days, it would appear the Joshua Farmer transfer portal saga has come to an end.

And it's a happy ending for the Seminoles at that.

After Farmer, a redshirt sophomore defensive tackle, announced on Tuesday that he was entering the transfer portal and then entered the portal officially Thursday afternoon, he shared an updated tweet Thursday, announcing that he's withdrawing from the portal and returning to FSU.

"I know the last 48 hours have been extremely challenging. After talking with my family and loved ones, I know that Florida State is home and it always will be," Farmer said in his tweet. "I believe in this team and the family we have. I want to be a part of helping the program get to where I know we can go and to give all I have to making that happen. #GoNoles #KeepClimbing."

Farmer was among FSU's spring standouts, coming off a redshirt freshman season in which he had 15 tackles, six tackles for loss (leading all ACC freshmen) and two sacks. He was named the Devaughn Darling Defensive Freshman of the Year and selected to the All-ACC Academic Team.

Farmer was officially removed from FSU’s online roster Thursday afternoon after entering the portal officially and has not immediately been added on. However, it's expected he'll be welcomed back on the roster.

With Farmer back in the fold, FSU's defensive tackle room is back at its impressive full strength. In addition to Farmer, FSU returns defensive tackles Fabien Lovett, Dennis Briggs, Malcolm Ray, Daniel Lyons and Ayobami Tifase. The Seminoles also brought in Darrell Jackson (Miami) and Braden Fiske (Western Michigan) in the offseason. Jackson is awaiting a waiver to play in 2023 as he is a two-time transfer (playing at Maryland in 2021 and Miami last fall).
