Henrico (Va.) Hermitage defensive back Andre Clarke Jr. hasn't been on Florida State's campus since his freshman year of high school.
The four-star found himself back on campus on Saturday for Legacy Weekend as the Seminoles were looking to not only catch up personally with Clarke Jr, but catch up in his recruitment as well.
"I came my ninth grade year for a camp, so I didn't get to see all of this. But I really liked what I saw today," Clarke Jr. said. "How Coach Norvell is, practice was really physical and competitive. I liked it."
"Florida State definitely is one of my top schools after today. I'm really considering them," he added later.
As with many of the prospects that visited over the weekend, getting to speak to former players stood out to Clarke on his visit.
"They were basically saying how different it was from when they were here and how it is now. They said this is where you want to be. I could definitely see that. This is family," Clarke Jr. said.
Getting to watch defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain coach up close and personal was a real draw to Clarke as well.
"I loved the way he coaches," he said. "He doesn't take the BS. If you're slacking, he's going to get on you. I like that — being coached hard."
While it was a long while between his first visit and second visit, Clarke Jr.'s third visit to campus will not take as long. He said that he will definitely be taking an official visit with the Seminoles in the summer but a date has not been nailed down yet.
Clarke Jr. already has official visits set to SMU (May 2), Syracuse (May 30), Virginia Tech (June 6), Kentucky (June 13) and Miami (June 20).
He will also take unofficial visits to Kentucky, Michigan and Tennessee in the coming weeks.
