The Florida State baseball team added another transfer pitcher on Sunday in UNC Wilmington right-hander Ethan Chenault.
As a junior in 2023, Chenault went 5-2 with a 4.91 ERA in 26 games (three saves). The 6-foot-5, 200-pound Chenault had 59 strikeouts and 24 walks in 47.2 innings.
Chenault allowed just four earned runs in his last 11 appearances of 2023.
"The coaches were real with me and I like the plan they have for the program," Chenault told the Osceola. "Also, FSU has a storied history and is an amazing place to be an athlete at and I couldn’t pass up that experience and to play for the coaches."
Chenault pitched at Forest (Va.) Miller.
FSU has been active in the transfer portal, landing Cam Leiter, Jacob Marlowe and Drew Faurot from UCF along with North Florida's Alex Lodise and Alabama's Max Williams.
