Even after beefing up their offensive line depth chart by landing several high school recruits and college transfers, Florida State's coaches have plenty more work to do at that position. And from the sounds of things, new OL coach Randy Clements isn't wasting any time when it comes to grabbing the attention of potential candidates for the classes of 2020, 2021 and even 2022.

We spoke with several of those targets on Sunday at the Miami Rivals Camp, and got a better idea of where the Seminoles stand in their recruitment.

DUMERVIL A TOP PRIORITY TO CLEMENTS, FSU

It goes without saying that FSU wants high-quality offensive tackles in this 2020 class, and there aren't many better ones out there than four-star standout OL Marcus Dumervil of St. Thomas Aquinas.

When Warchant caught up with him on Sunday, Dumervil has made it clear he has a good amount of interest in the Seminoles, and that has feeling only increased with the addition of new offensive line coach Randy Clements.

"I'm looking for a family feel in a school," Dumervil said. "With Florida State, Coach [Willie] Taggart is building something special. Me and Coach Clements have been texting back and forth. I'm very much considering FSU. I like him, but I want to see him, meet Coach Clements and get a strong comfort feel for FSU."

While he hasn't set a specific date, Dumervil said the next step for him and Florida State will be taking a trip to Tallahassee in the next month or two. He wants to get to know both Clements and Taggart better, and he also wants to get a feel for the entire program.

"I know it will be in the spring or soon, but I don't know a date," Dumervil said. "Coach Taggart is really cool. He's not like an old-school coach, but someone you can certainly communicate with on a personal level. And that's not an easy thing to do. So I like him a lot. I want to see how comfortable I am with the system there and the family at FSU."

Dumervil said he has been talking with Taggart for well over a year -- since Taggart took over the job at Florida State.

The four-star lineman claims no leader at this point, and his only planned visit right now is to Auburn later this month.
