The Florida State recruiting class got off to a bang early on Wednesday when Buford four-star RB Anthony Grant pulled a surprise and announced that he has committed to Florida State over Tennessee, Virginia Tech and North Carolina. Grant is the only running back in this class for the 'Noles. FSU now has 17 commitments for the 2018 class.

Most thought the Seminoles were too late to pull Grant away from Tennessee, but a tight connection was made for the talented back on his last official visit to FSU.

"I had a great time there and Coach Taggart connected with me like no other coach I've dealt with has. It was real eye opening for me," said Grant.
