Florida State's quarterback depth chart for this fall just got a little more depth to it.

Former Wisconsin starter Alex Hornibrook, who took an official visit to FSU this weekend, has committed to the Seminoles, a source confirmed with Warchant.com on Sunday morning.

Hornibrook started 32 games at Wisconsin and posted a 26-6 record. He later confirmed his decision on Instagram:

FSU returns sophomore James Blackman as the projected starter this fall, along with walk-on Nolan McDonald and Louisville transfer Jordan Travis, who will need a waiver from the NCAA to be eligible in 2019.

Hornibrook is immediately eligible as a graduate transfer.

Last season, Hornibrook only started nine games because he was sidelined for four games due to injury. He completed 59.5 percent of his passes (122 of 205) for 1,532 yards with 11 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

As a sophomore in 2017, he threw for 2,607 yards and was named Orange Bowl MVP for his performance in a win against Miami. In that game, he went 23-for-34 for a career-high 258 yards and a school bowl game-record four touchdowns.

Here is an in-depth scouting report with background on Hornibrook, thanks to Wisconsin's Rivals site, BadgerBlitz.com.
