Georgia LB DeMarco Ward commits to Florida State after official visit
The good news continued to roll in for the Florida State Seminoles after their big official visit weekend as Georgia linebacker DeMarco Ward has announced Tuesday he has committed to Florida State.
The Seminoles have been pushing hard to get Ward into the fold, and now the wait is over. Ward becomes the ninth commitment in the 2023 class.

Ward, a three-star prospect who set up his official visit to FSU late last week, had high praise for the Seminoles during his visit earlier this spring.

Ward visited FSU over the weekend and described how the trip that led to his commitment went overall.
"Everything was good. The coaches came with open arms and did a great job," Ward said, before detailing some highlights. "Of course, the pictures and photo shoot. Seeing the [Doak Campbell renovations] preview center and seeing all the history of the program. That was very interesting. And probably the players. A lot of the players were great."
According to the Georgia linebacker, position coach Randy Shannon and graduate assistant coach Antonio Rodriguez were the coaches he spent the most time with.
"He was telling me I'm very versatile," Ward said of Shannon. "And instead of seeing me in one spot, he can actually move me around a lot."
Ward also said that when he came over for a Junior Day earlier this year, Shannon treated him like he was already one of his own players.
