Phenix City, Ala., quarterback Peter Parrish didn't want to leave any doubt about his abilities with his performance Friday during the first day of Florida State's football skills camp.

He can consider that mission accomplished.

Parrish made big throw after big throw while working out in front of FSU coach Wiliie Taggart, offensive coordinator Walt Bell and the Seminoles' other assistant coaches.

"It was great. Everyone was competing," Parrish said. "I feel overall everyone did great, and FSU was so lit. I certainly felt like my throws were really on point today with my ball placement, and I learned so much from Coach Bell during the camp."

Although Parrish is a relatively new name to many FSU fans, he and Bell have had a strong relationship dating back to last year.

"I talk with Coach Bell a lot over the phone, and he also came to my spring game and practice," the Alabama product said. "I would say the relationship started last year with me and him, because he offered me while he was at Maryland. He knows what he's doing. He had me doing elite drills."

Parrish also got the opportunity to run through some individual drills in front of FSU's coaches after the morning session ended Friday. That extra attention only added to the dual-threat quarterback's positive experience at FSU, and he later explained that he already has strong feelings for the Seminoles.

Some of his family members are from Florida, which led to his attraction to the Seminoles from a young age.

"Ever since I was growing up, I'm a huge Seminole fan," Parrish said. "My dad is from Florida, so FSU has always been a school I've really liked. So an offer would be big. Don't think I would commit right away, but if that happened, FSU would be one of my top teams for sure."
