Complete breakdown, analysis, preview and prediction for FSU-Miami

Quarterback Deondre Francois has done a solid job of directing the Seminole offense in 2016. Through the first five games, the redshirt freshman has completed 62.7 percent of his pass attempts for an average of 264.6 yards a game. He has also done a solid job of protecting the football with seven touchdown passes and just two interceptions. Veteran receivers Travis Rudolph and Bobo Wilson have combined for 39 receptions, 582 yards and four touchdowns. Running back Dalvin Cook is also a major target for Francois and he is second in the team in receptions (19) and receiving yards (286).

Miami took a couple big hits in the secondary with the losses of Tracy Howard and Artie Burns, who are both now playing in the NFL. While there may not be as many play-makers in the defensive backfield, the unit is loaded with four senior starters. Cornerback Corn Elder leads the way with one interception and three pass break-ups.

MATCHUP: When given decent protection, Francois has preformed well and is capable of moving the offense. Florida State also boasts a veteran and deep receiving unit that should be able to get open against against the Hurricanes. Meanwhile, Miami's pass defense has yet to be tested this season -- UM's three FBS opponents have pass offenses ranked 126, 113 and 107.

WINNER: FLORIDA STATE
