New defensive coordinator Harlon Barnett will be the highest-paid assistant coach in Florida State history, receiving an annual salary of nearly $1 million a year over the next three years.
The details of Barnett's and FSU's other eight new assistant coaches' contracts were released Monday following records requests from Warchant and other media outlets.
Here are the basic details from those agreements:
* Defensive coordinator Harlon Barnett: $980,000, 3-year contract;
* Offensive coordinator Walt Bell: $700,000, 3-year contract;
* Offensive line coach Greg Frey: $650,000, 2-year contract;
* Defensive ends coach Mark Snyder: $450,000, 2-year contract;
* Linebackers coach Raymond Woodie: $400,000, 2-year contract;
* Wide receivers coach David Kelly: $375,000, 2-year contract;
* Running backs coach Donte' Pimpleton: $345,000, 2-year contract;
* Tight ends coach Telly Lockette: $325,000, 2-year contract;
* Special-teams coach Alonzo Hampton: $275,000, 2-year contract.
Before Barnett's hiring, the previous largest annual salary for an FSU assistant was former defensive coordinator Charles Kelly at less than $900,000 per year.
Along with their annual salaries, each assistant coach also will receive a portion of the school's Nike Elite allotment (as determined by the head coach); $650 monthly car allowance; cell phone; tickets to football, basketball and baseball games; a $25,000 signing bonus; and other potential annual bonuses.
