The Florida State Seminoles were always high on the leaderboard for Rivals250 DB Hamsah Nasirildeen because of his connection with FSU running backs coach Jay Graham.
On his visit to FSU this week for Jimbo Fisher Camp, though, the 6-foot-4, 195-pound standout from Concord, N.C., got to see more of the campus and bond with a lot of the players and coaches. Nasirildeen talks more about that bond, where FSU sits on his list, and his thoughts on defensive coordinator Charles Kelly. The talented defensive back also named a top four.
"Toured (the campus) and talked with Coach Fisher and Coach Graham," Nasirildeen said. "I hung out with Josh Brown, who is from Mallard Creek, another North Carolina guy. Coach Fisher let me know how much he wanted me and how this is a great fit."
The strongest connection between FSU and Nasirildeen is running backs coach Jay Graham, who is somewhat of a legend in Concord, N.C.
"I have a close relationship with Coach Graham, of course, because he's from Concord," Nasirildeen said. "He's a real cool dude, very humble. You probably wouldn't even know he was the best running back to play there."
