Mike Norvell and his Florida State football staff sure know how to throw a party.
With the NCAA's ban on in-person recruiting ending at midnight on May 31, Norvell and the Seminoles invited many of the nation's top recruits to attend a "Midnight Madness" event at Doak Campbell Stadium.
And those elite prospects turned out en masse.

"The doors are open," Norvell yelled as as recruits were welcomed inside the Moore Athletics Center at 12:01 a.m.
The prospects came in all shapes and sizes, and from near and far. But the one common theme was that all of them were either highly rated prospects or current FSU commits.

The players were greeted with a sound system blaring the warchant as they were escorted to the field inside Doak Campbell Stadium. Later, they were expected to get tours of the campus.
Some current FSU players, including QB Jordan Travis, came out to greet the recruits, as did virtually every member of the Seminoles' 2021 signing class.
Here were some of the arrival highlights:
Marshall OL transfer candidate Cain Madden
Former Marshall star offensive lineman Cain Madden, who is one of the most coveted transfer prospects in the country, arrived for his FSU visit shortly after midnight.
He is taking an official visit to FSU and is said to be considering Notre Dame, Texas A&M and several other schools. The fact that Florida State got Cain's first visit when in-person recruiting opened up -- not to mention the fact that he made the effort to arrive at midnight -- could bode well for the Seminoles. Madden was a second-team All-America guard at Marshall.
5-star OL Julian Armella
There has been concern among FSU fans that the Seminoles are slipping in the race for five-star offensive tackle Julian Armella, who is a Seminole legacy recruit.
Armella has had high praise for LSU, Alabama and other SEC schools, and the feeling among many recruiting analysts has been that the talented lineman might be heading to Baton Rouge.
That is to be determined, but at midnight Monday, Armella was at Florida State.
