Florida State junior wide receiver Da'Vante Phillips has been suspended indefinitely following his Friday arrest on five theft- and fraud-related charges.

FSU coach Jimbo Fisher announced the suspension shortly before 2 p.m. Friday.

"Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher announced today that junior receiver Da’Vante Phillips has been indefinitely suspended from the football team in accordance with athletic department policy," the university started in a press release. "He will have no further comment at this time."

According to the Leon County Jail, Phillips was charged with one count of grand theft (more than $300 but less than $5,000) and four counts of fraudulently making bank deposits "with intent to defraud."

Bond was set at $1,000 for each of the charges, which are all felonies. As of 1:55 p.m., Phillips was still listed in the jail directory.

Phillips, who starred at Miami Central along with former FSU star Dalvin Cook, has struggled with injuries through most of his time with the Seminoles. He has five career receptions for 30 yards.

Coming out of high school, he was rated a four-star prospect and the No. 10 wide receiver in the nation.
