Bacon led Florida State this season with 17.2 points per game; he also averaged 4.2 rebounds and led the team with 57 3-pointers.

A Lakeland, Fla., native and former five-star recruit, Bacon said part of the reason he chose Florida State was to help turn around the Seminoles' program and propel them back into the NCAA Tournament.

He and the 'Noles came up just short of that goal in his freshman season despite finishing with a 20-14 record. This year, they left no doubt by racking up 24 regular-season victories, going 12-6 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and earning the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament.

FSU was a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament but was stunned in the second round by Xavier, 91-66. The Seminoles' final record was 26-9, featuring the second-most victories in school history.

Now that Bacon has announced his decision, the Seminoles will wait to hear the future plans of star freshman forward Jonathan Isaac and junior point guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes. Isaac is projected as a lottery pick in the NBA Draft. Both players said they would make their decisions after the season.
