Although he is making his commitment several months before National Signing Day, Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan linebacker Teradja Mitchell still has created plenty of excitement around his announcement.

Mitchell, who is the nation's No. 1 inside linebacker and No. 45 prospect overall, officially narrowed his choices down to Florida State and Ohio State 10 days ago. Tonight at 7 p.m. ET, he plans to make his commitment public.

Late Thursday, he was not offering any hints on Twitter:

Both schools appear to present Mitchell with the opportunity for early playing time and the chance to compete for conference and national championships. Both also have a strong track record with preparing players for the NFL.

One potential factor weighing in FSU's favor is that the Seminoles and assistant coach Odell Haggins have enjoyed a great deal of success in recruiting the "D.M.V." (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area in recent years and have several of his longtime friends on the roster, including 2017 signee and former Bishop Sullivan teammate Khalan Laborn.

For a lengthy breakdown of Mitchell's recruitment and a preview of his decision, our Michael Langston appeared on Thursday's "Wake Up Warchant" with host Ryan Kelly. In this segment, Langston discusses Mitchell's skills as a player, why he is such an important recruit for Florida State and which school he believes the talented linebacker will choose.
